ISLAM HONOURING DAUGHTERS AND SISTERS

لا تكرهوا البنات؛ فإنَّهنَّ المؤنسات الغاليات

The prophet sallalahu `alayhi wa sallam said :  Do not dislike daughters (as was and still is the norm across the globe in many regions or cultures) for they are dearly pleasant and friendly

There is much more on women rights and status of women. Volumes of books are filled with this but to make it easy to read, we will post in bits and pieces. 

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that :the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever has three daughters, or three sisters, or two daughters, or two sisters and he keeps good company with them and fears Allah regarding them, then Paradise is for him

Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who has three daughters and provides for them, clothes them and shows mercy to them will definitely enter the Garden.{ (1) and in another narration the prophet said 'they will be a shield against the fire for him} " A man from the people said, "And two daughters, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "And two.

A man asked the Prophet : To whom should I show kindness? He replied, Your mother, your father, your sister and your brother.‟  Another version is: “and your slave who is your inferior having an obligatory right and tying relation.”
