Children are born believers in God, academic claims - The Telegraph

Dr Justin Barrett, a senior researcher at the University of Oxford's Centre for Anthropology and Mind, claims that young people have a predisposition to believe in a supreme being because they assume that everything in the world was created with a purpose.
He says that young children have faith even when they have not been taught about it by family or at school, and argues that even those raised alone on a desert island would come to believe in God.
"The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown that a lot more seems to be built into the natural development of children's minds than we once thought, including a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and that some kind of intelligent being is behind that purpose," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
"If we threw a handful on an island and they raised themselves I think they would believe in God."
In a lecture to be given at the University of Cambridge's Faraday Institute on Tuesday, Dr Barrett will cite psychological experiments carried out on children that he says show they instinctively believe that almost everything has been designed with a specific purpose.

THE LIMITED ABILITY OF SCIENCE EVEN IN DETERMINING THE FETUS RELATED ISSUE

In this small article it shows

1. How science even until the recent 19th century was unable to determine much of what it can today which is a proof that how limited and more importantly dependent science is upon humans who in turn are limited - both in their power and intellect - themselves

2. Shows how even today science needs a few months or many weeks to determine the sex and the baby taking shape via ultrasound and cannot determine what God informed us he can even years before the baby is born.  Such as its gender, its destiny, its career etc.

3. Science is so limited that it could not study the detailed embryo development pattern until in the early 20th century or late 19th era .

4. Despite its advancement, science even now cannot tell when exactly the fetes gains its spirit /becomes a person with senses

THE PROBLEM WITH THE CLAIM " SCIENTIFIC FACT OR PROOF "

This is a quick transcript for a short but POWERFUL discussion , exposing or disclosing the fallacies of some scientific claims, facts and their scientific methodology as explained by brother Imran Hussain [Link : https://www.facebook.com/imranhusseindawah?] and Saboor Ahmed [Link unkown]. The video begins from 00:10 seconds and it is 1:40 am here but the points made in this video are so sublte yet important i decided to get up and transcribe it,so kindly excuse any mistakes and bring them to my notice via commenting below this post.

Video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI6yXt1hIXA&feature=youtu.be

00:10

Imran : Today's show we are discussing something very interesting, that is Richard Dawkin's support IERA's narrative . Now there are a few questions that arise from this and

1) what is this narrative and
2) How does he support this narrative

Saboor: I can answer the first one, the second one's going to have to wait till the end of the show

Imran : Okay so let us address the first one, what is this narrative?

Saboor: Okay, our narrative is when it comes to evolution , that a scientific fact isn't neccessarily an absolute fact, right?

Imran: Yes

Saboor: and the counter narrative to this is that evolution, darwanian evolution is an absolute fact, whoever challenges it is committing intellectual suicide and it is written in stone. It's true and it's never going to change and it is a brute fact of reality

Imran: Okay, so two questions that arise from what you just said.

1) Is evolution a scientific fact? and

2) Define for us what is a scientific fact?

Saboor: Okay, so is evolution a scientific fact? Now this is an area where there could be a lot of dispute so there could be like someone could say it is a scientific fact, others would say there are big problems with observation , actually no one can even see any macro evolution in real time and you know we're going to get into this whole discussion...

Imran: Generally speaking for the case of this video, let us accept for the sake of discussion that it is considered a scientific fact amongst the majority of scientific community? right?

Saboor: yes that'll be a fair way to carry on.

Imran : so what is a scientific fact now, define that for us?

Saboor: Scientific fact is something which obviously goes through a scientific method so you have observation, experimentation, you know falsification - its confirmed or falsified - and then it goes through pier review and if its new knowledge it becomes like a theory and if it is generally has a consensus among the scientific community , in scientific discourse you'd call it a fact in science

Imran: Okay, good. This being the case, is there problems with scientific facts? This is another question we need to tackle.

Saboor: I wouldn't use the word problems i would say "limits"

Imran : Okay, so are there limits to such facts

Saboor: Yes, there are limits because it is very counter intuitive to think that scientific fact can be wrong because science has given us so much. It's given us cameras and iphones and satellites and all those things.. so you will think that science will never change, or scientific fact will never change but they actually do!

Like for e.g in the beginning of the 20th century there was a consensus among scientists which was that the University is eternal - a steady state model - and it was a scientific fact , it was (taken as) a brute fact of reality; what actually happened after a few years - the hubble telescope - we discovered the universe is expanding so this scientific fact was WRONG!

Universe was not eternal , it had a begining some 13.7 billion years ago; likewise around the same time Einstein's view of the universe it prevailed over the newtonian view of the universe so you always have these revolutions and para dime shifts and you know changes

Imran : scientific facts change, now that leads me to another thing which is that something is going on here which is leading scientific facts to change or allowing them that room to change and this leads me to think that it is something to do with the method itself which is the scientific method, so there are some limiting factors about the scientific method itself right?

Saboor: yes

Imran : One ; i think we can discuss briefly is the problem of deduction, so maybe you'd want to clear that for us

Saboor: Let us take the example of a scientist in wales . A scientist in wales must find out what colour sheep are. So he travels all over whales and sees all the sheeps are white so he comes up with a hypothesis that the sheep are white. He tests it out, every sheep that he sees is white so it is a scientific fact for him that sheep are white. Say this happens 300 years ago there is not T.V, no internet nothing like that.

Then he travels to say New zealand and he comes across a black sheep; which is going against his current theory

imran : yea

Saboor: that's basically the problem of induction. So when you get new evidence which goes against your previous evidences , conclusions.

Imran : and the problem there is that you are always limited to how many observations you have at hand and based on those observations you make your inference and there is room for error because it is possible that the next sheep or next ten sheep could be black or blue or pink for that matter

Saboor: Exactly , look there are somethings so certain about. For e.g.  the scientists believed at one point that the sun is stationary , it didn't move. And anybody who said that the sun had an orbit, would be mad , would be (deemed) crazy. So anybody who was a Muslim at that time and you know in the qur'an it mentions the sun has an orbit ; he would be like no that is impossible - we can see the sun it's not moving - but again when we discover the universe is much bigger than we thought, the sun goes around the milkyway galaxy in millions of years of ..you know over 200 million years in terms of orbit .

So again something that we were so sure about , because of the problem of induction it goes through a You Turn and the interesting thing here Imran is not one or two things in the history of science where there is a U-Turn ; (but rather) the whole history of science is filled with U-Turn's and you know we think of science as an accumulation of eternal truth - (but) It's not ! - and as it mentions in the introduction to the Philosophy of science by Oxford University that

"Science is revisable. Hence to talk of scientific proof is dangerous, because the term fosters the idea of conclusions that are graven in stone"  [Ref: Gillian Barker and Phillip kitcher. Philosopher of science. A new introduction. Oxford University Press 2014, p. 17]

Now this is information which obviously the academics know, but the laymen doesn't!

Imran: Okay so let me sum this up, so to touch a point there. We only mentioned induction as one example but there are several examples , several limiting factors of the scientific factors. Not to say it is a bad method, it is an excellent method but what we're saying is we appreciate it for what it actually is. and i guess what happens when you do that is you end up doing justice with the method itself. Once you understand its limits and it's scope - so on and so forth - right.

Now understanding this, our narrative then just to sum is that - science as a methodology is a beautiful method ; it works but its limited , has limited factors and it can't give us a 100% truth. Just based on induction itself it can give us from 0-99% , it can't give us a 100 % . Therefore any theory that science promotes or proposes can't be a 100% true. There they may be scientific facts but they may not be absolute facts.

Saboor: Yes

THE FORCEFUL CONVERSION OF ANDALUSIAN MUSLIMS BY THE CHRISTIANS

Islamic political history can been seen as a cycle that oscillates between power and weakness. The Abbasid caliphate that contributed much to math and science in from the 8th to 11th centuries eventually came to violent end with the Mongol destruction of Baghdad in 1258. The Ottomans, who rose out of the ashes of that destruction at one point became the most powerful European empire, but eventually ended with a whimper in the aftermath of the First World War. Numerous examples illustrate the rise and fall of Muslim societies.

In this rise and fall cycle, there have been times when one society’s decline coincided with the rise of another, leading to interesting interactions between the two. One such case happened in the late 15th/early 16th century, when al-Andalus lost its independence in the western Mediterranean while the Ottoman Empire was becoming a major power in the East.

In 1492, the last Muslim polity in Iberia, the Emirate of Granada, fell to the Union of Castile and Aragón that would later form Spain. The remaining Muslim inhabitants, known as Moriscos, were originally promised religious freedom by the Catholic Monarchs, but by 1502, a royal decree imposed Catholicism on the entire population and Muslims had to publicly profess to have converted or face severe punishments.

In this atmosphere of religious oppression, in 1502 an anonymous Andalusian poet wrote an appeal for aid to the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II (r. 1481-1512). A portion of this appeal is copied below:

The custom of marrying off children at a very young age compared to today

Shaykh Mufti Muhammad Sa`eed khan in his book " Kamseen bacchiyo ki shadiyan " ( the marriage of adolescent girls) " brings some effective points to counter non Muslim arguments who don't mind their small children watching porn and sleeping with 300 guys and girls before the age of 18 but mind when Muslims marry their young children realising they are physically and mentally capable to marry .  He also quotes many such narrations and incidents were similar marriages took place as that of our mother `Aisha's . One should note that Islam legalises marriage based on "ability" and not "age" for humans differ from each other based on biological, regional and other aspects that allows some to mature earlier than their counterparts.
-----------

1. The period of that time and its surrounding is to be taken into consideration before objecting to anyone among the Muslims marrying their daughters at 6 or 9 or 12 .

2. Mufti Sa`eed khan sahab gives the example of the buildings during the prophet's time and for a good time thereafter were only max of 2 floors. Yet no one blames them for that why?

3. The shaykh quotes ample examples of various incidents wherein the quraish and other `arab and ajam married their sons off at the age of 10 and how they would enter battle at the age of 13 or 12 or 14 years as was the norm. He gave the example of the famous sahabi `amr ibn al-`aas the conqueror of egypt who married at the age of 10 while he wasn't a muslim [Ref: Siyar `alam]

4. `Abdullah ibn `amir the son of the sahaabi `aamir ibn kareez was 12 years old when he married and he had a son the very coming year of marriage so the difference between his son abdur rahman and `abdullah ibn aamir was of 13 years only.  [Ref: Siyar `alam under `abdullah ibn aamir 7, /3 page 19; ]

5. the uncle of the believers Mu`awiyah married his daughter Hind to `Abdullah ibn `Amir when she was 9 and this way approx 25+ years after the prophet's demise [Ref: Tareekh ad-Dimishq under the category of Hind bint Mu`awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan , No. 9781 page 138; also see siyar `alam nubala 6/3/page 18]

6. Urwah ibn zubair (rahimahullah) the senior most taba`ee - son of the famous Zubair ibnul-`Awwam radhiallahu `anhu and Asma bint Abi Bakr . He married his cousin (paternal uncle's daughter) named Fatima bint Mundhar when she was 9 [Ref: Ibn `Adi's Al-Kamil under Muhammad ibn Ishaaq ibn Yisaar, Madani, raqam 1623;  7/256]

And many more such incidents are there even back then and many even today. A very important thing to note is that all of these families and households were royals governors and famous people thus if they had no issues marrying their daughters and sons who matured way more quicker than today then why should those who come 14 centuries after them object to what they did in their era?

Norway gender equality research proves a failure

Amazing research. Norway - one of the most "gender equal" and developed nations globally - despite the trillions of dollars into Anti Islamic marketing and cultural values (such as gender differences) and despite the seemless efforts, the top notch University researchers, doctors and even professors confess that this plan (of opposing God's natural order by treating man and woman absolutely equal) is a failed idea.

Here is an amazing documentary, very interesting which shows how Women despite chanting for gender equality, at the end of the day are women and likewise for men.

The concept of Gender equality is a modern concept, alien to Mankind and human civilization until recently .

The position of women in England vs Islam

Wife selling in England was a way of ending an unsatisfactory marriage by mutual agreement that probably began in the late 17th century, when divorce was a practical impossibility for all but the very wealthiest. After parading his wife with a halter around her neck, arm, or waist, a husband would publicly auction her to the highest bidder.

Wife selling persisted in England in some form until the early 20th century. In one of the last reported instances of a wife sale in England, a woman giving evidence in a Leeds police court
in 1913 claimed that she had been sold to one of her husband's workmates for £1.

-Thomas Hardy 's novel "The Mayor of Casterbridge."

-Selling a Wife (1812–14), by Thomas Rowlandson works and paintings

-Courtney Kenny, "Wife-Selling in England"

-James Bryce (1901) on a subject of "Wife Selling Custom"

WESTERN POLITICS WITH KA`AB IBN MALIK – DIVIDE AND RULE SINCE 1500 + YEARS

How many of us know the story of the three sahaabi who did not join the prophet (s.a.w) in the battle of tabuk?. The main one was Ka`b ibn Malik rahiallahu `anhu . Other two were Maraarah ibn al-Rabee’ Al-‘Amri and Hilaal ibn ‘Umaiyyah Al-Waqifi may allah be pleased with them all.

This one story has more than 20 lessons or even more that scholars have spoken. For now without mentioning the whole story i'll point out towards some beautiful points which you in sha allah won't regret spending your time reading.

1. The Absolute obedience towards the prophet's command

The prophet (s.a.w) commanded everyone to boycott Ka`b ibn Malik r.a until Allah decides his case. Ka`b r.a began to get isolated. Imagine you living in a city or a place where no one talks to you, returns your salam or has to do ANYTHING with you. he then says :

When this harsh attitude of the people lasted long, I walked till I scaled the wall of the garden of Abu Qataadah who was my cousin and dearest person to me, and I offered my greetings to him. By Allaah, he did not return my greetings. I said, 'O Abu Qataadah! I beseech you by Allaah! Do you know that I love Allaah and His Messenger?' He kept quiet. I asked him again, beseeching him by Allaah, but he remained silent. Then I asked him again in the Name of Allaah. He said, "Allaah and His Messenger know it better.' Thereupon, my eyes flowed with tears and I returned and jumped over the wall." End quote
Just look at the 100/100 loyalty of the sahaaba towards the prophet , even if it be against their own blood ! Subhanallah ....

2 : The strategy , divide and rule policies used TILL DATE

Ka‘b added, "While I was walking in the market of Medina, suddenly I saw a Nabati (i.e. a Christian farmer) from the Nabatis of Sham who came to sell his grains in Medina, saying, 'Who will lead me to Ka‘b ibn Maalik?' The people began to point (me) out for him till he came to me and handed me a letter from the king of Ghassan in which the following was written:

"To proceed, I have been informed that your friend (i.e. the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him) has treated you harshly. Anyhow, Allaah does not let you live at a place where you feel inferior and your right is lost. So join us, and we will console you." End Quote

you see how these people, till date try to break us?? take use of our trials and poor conditions to exploit us? this christian king had no absolute threat from the prophet (s.a.w) at this point of time. His army was way massive .

Now comes the main part. What did Ka`ab r.a do?

When I read it, I said to myself, 'This is also a sort of a test (from allah to check my loyalty).' Then I took the letter to the oven and made a fire therein by burning it.

The End !

Major collection of several thousand medieval documents written during the Crusades

There are not one but hundreds of documents still available which were written during the crusade periods launched by the "religious Christians" . Yet we find that both the concept of "Holy war" and "attacks on foreign lands" - which by the way was the very norm of mankind - is specifically used to demonize Islam and it's predecessors . Here is something to ponder on

Source: Wikipedia

Recueil des historiens des croisades

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Recueil des historiens des croisades (trans: Collection of the Historians of the Crusades) is a major collection of several thousand medieval documents written during the Crusades. The documents were collected and published in Paris in the late 19th century, and include documents in Latin, Greek, Arabic, Old French, andArmenian. The documents cover the entire period of the Crusades, and are frequently cited in scholarly works, as a way of locating a specific document. When being quoted in citations, the collection is often abbreviated as RHC or R.H.C..
Images of the documents can be viewed in some major libraries. The 1967 reprint of the entire collection by Gregg Press can also be found in major libraries, and there are also full-text PDF files available online, which have been made available by the Bibliothèque Nationale de France Gallica project. Documents can be downloaded in their entirety, or stepped through page by page, with both the original text, and a French translation.

Some Absurd Man Made Laws for those who mock the Islamic Shariah

Quite Often we see Non Muslims question Muslims about their preference or liking of the Islamic Shar`iah law. On One hand some are amazed whereas on others some try to debunk and find flaws in the Islamic laws.

Most of the time they base their study on what the verdict of the executioners (Such as Muslim courts) rather than the actual original Islamic law itself and due to this they , due to their lack of study, comprehension and justice perceieve the shar`iah to be flawed. This is a lengthy debate and this is not the place for it. However, i have taken this initiative so as show that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.

The very champions and cheer leaders of man made laws who ridicule divine law fail to see through the absurdity of their own ilk. Below is a collection of "SOME" laws which would boggle one's mind and baffle his senses to think "what on earth were these 'great lawmakers' thinking" And do not forget to read the conclusion please !

Some of the Worlds Absurd Man Made Laws
